DSIP has no label, so unlike an approved injectable there are no official mixing constants: every number here is user-entered arithmetic, not product guidance. The calculator converts a vial strength and diluent volume into concentration, then converts any documented dose into injection volume and U-100 syringe units. It exists because the arithmetic is where dangerous mistakes happen, not because any dose is endorsed: no established human dose exists, FDA identified no data for the injected route as sold, and FDA's own chemists question whether the commonly advertised 1 mg/mL concentration dissolves at all.

DSIP has no FDA label and no established dose; there are no label constants to preload. The vial sizes in the reference table are arithmetic teaching rows, not product data and not vendor claims; the calculator accepts any values the user chooses to document.

Arithmetic only: concentration = vial mg / water mL; units = mL x 100. It does not check any dose against any reference.

If your entered vial content and diluent volume produce a concentration above 0.5 mg/mL, this calculator shows this warning: the mixture may not fully dissolve, and no published analysis of commercial DSIP vials exists to tell you what is in yours.

Worked example

Worked example (arithmetic, not a recommendation): a vial labeled 5 mg with 2 mL of water added gives 5 / 2 = 2.5 mg/mL, which is 250 mcg per 0.1 mL. A documented 250 mcg quantity would be 0.1 mL, the 10-unit mark on a U-100 syringe, and the vial would hold floor(5000 / 250) = 20 such quantities. Note that 2.5 mg/mL is five times the solubility FDA reports for the free base, so this example would trigger the solubility warning: more water, not more trust in the label, is the only fix arithmetic can offer.

Step by step

  1. Enter the vial's stated peptide content in mg (whatever the label claims; this tool cannot verify it, and no published analysis of commercial DSIP vials exists).
  2. Enter the volume of bacteriostatic or sterile water you add, in mL.
  3. Read the resulting concentration in mg/mL and mcg per 0.1 mL. Above 0.5 mg/mL, a solubility warning appears, sourced to FDA's 2026 evaluation.
  4. Enter a dose in mcg to see its volume in mL and its mark on a U-100 insulin syringe.
  5. Read doses-per-vial as arithmetic floor(vial content / dose); it assumes the label is accurate, which nobody has verified.

Can this tool tell me a starting dose?

No, and nothing can: there is no established human dose. The trials used supervised IV infusion, a different route from sold vials, with effects that depended on infusion speed. This tool only converts numbers you already have into volumes and syringe marks.

Does the doses-per-vial number mean my vial contains that much peptide?

No. It is arithmetic on the label claim. Zero published analyses of commercial DSIP products exist, so no one can tell you what your vial actually contains.

What about nasal DSIP products?

The intranasal route has no indexed clinical record for this compound at all, and this suite deliberately ships no spray planner: there is no sourced number it could be built on.
